Class Policies
Registration Deadlines: Classes registrations close 24 hours prior to the beginning of class. Private lesson registrations close 24 hours prior to the class time to ensure the teacher is available.
Class Minimums: Fashion design courses have a 3 student minimum, while all other sewing classes have a 4 student minimum to proceed. If no students have registered for a class 2 weeks before the start of a class, the class may be canceled. If we have not met our minimum 1 week prior to the start of class, the class may be canceled. All available classes and times will be live on the website, so if it is no longer visible, the class may be canceled or sold out.
Cancellations & Refunds: All class registrations are non-refundable. Cancellations prior to 24 hours will be allowed to reschedule. For cancellations within 24 hours of a class, a rescheduling fee of $50 will be required to register the student for a different class/camp session. Contact us if there is an unavoidable documented emergency and exceptions can be made. If a refund is offered for exceptions, refunds will have the credit card fees deducted from the refund as credit card companies no longer refund these fees to us. These are estimated to be 30 cents + 3%.
If a class has not met its minimum to proceed, the students registered will be offered an alternative date for the class, or credits towards other classes. If a reasonable replacement cannot be found, the student will be fully refunded for the canceled class.
Attendance: The student registered for the class is the only individual permitted to remain when the class begins. Parent's may not stay during the class unless they are an active volunteer. Parents must arrive within 15 minutes of the end of class to collect their student. If you need to reschedule a portion of your class, please notify us 24 hours prior to the class to be transferred into a new class.
Behavior: Bullying and physical violence will not be tolerated. If a student injures or bullies another student during their class or camp, the student will be removed from the class and will be banned from returning to our facility. Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Sew Pinellas is housed in the studio of the business Porcelynne. Employees of Porcelynne should not be disturbed.
Classroom Booking: Space booking cancellations must be made prior to 72 hours (3 days) and can be rescheduled. Cancellations for space bookings within 72 hours will not be refunded or rescheduled.
